Home Health Aide (HHA) Job Description
Perform simple procedures as and extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of a therapist or RN. Perform personal care activities including but not limited to: Bathing; dressing; skin care; oral hygiene; shaving. Performs household services essential to health care at home, including but not limited to: Meal preparation/feeding; laundry; light housekeeping. Assist in administration of medications that are ordinarily self-administered. Report changes in patient conditions; documentation of care provided; promote personal safety and safe environment. Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment. Communicates effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Attend in-service programs to meet compliance requirements. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
