Home Health Aid for Hospice In-Home Patients

Responsibilities for Home Health Aide Perform personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and using the bathroom Perform household duties, including meal preparation and light housekeeping Provide patients with mobility assistance Follow assignments and guidelines set by RNs, PTs, and/or OTs Prepare and submit all documentation by established deadlines in conjunction with policies and prodceures Report unusual behavior and any other pertinent patient information to supervisor Show flexibility in responding to the needs of the patient Oversee administration of medications Qualifications for Home Health Aide High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Must be at least 18 years of age Home Health Aide certification preferred Minimum of 6 months of work experience, preferably in hospice or home care, a skilled nursing facility, or hospital setting Possess and maintain current CPR certification Valid driver's license with a registered vehicle that is insured and can pass a safety inspection Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills (in English) Spanish speaking a plus Comfortable with little supervision Work Location: Patient In-Home Care, Traveling within a 1-40mile radius near Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs.
