📝 Job Description
As a Psychiatric Nurse at Nurse One Home Health, you will:
Act as case manager for patients with psychiatric diagnoses.
Regularly evaluate patient progress and collaborate with the care team.
Review and establish individualized care plans.
Administer prescribed treatments and monitor patient response.
Communicate significant changes in condition to physicians and health staff.
Provide patient and family counseling related to psychiatric care.
Conduct OASIS assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Supervise LPNs or Home Health Aides as needed.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and universal precautions.
Participate in discharge planning, referrals, and follow-up coordination.
Respond appropriately in emergencies until further medical support is available.
This position involves regular field visits and requires strict adherence to infection control protocols. Protective equipment and training will be provided.
✅ Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Hold a current RN license in the State of Florida.
Possess a Master’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing, or equivalent specialized training.
Have prior experience in a psychiatric hospital or outpatient mental health clinic.
Have completed at least 4 contact hours in HIV/AIDS education.
Demonstrate excellent clinical documentation and communication skills.
Be familiar with OASIS assessments and home health procedures.
