Unfortunately, my mother has had to be placed in rehabilitation. Fortunately, we were able to place her at Scottdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Everyone is wonderful. The therapy team is awesome! They are encouraging and dedicated to the patients. They get mom to push further than she thought possible. The nurses are caring and make sure to help with whatever is needed. The CNAs treat all clients as family. They do hair, gather snacks, and have interesting conversations with them. They make sure clients have privacy. The administration can be found interacting with those staying there. You never know what special activities are going to happen. Cooler corn on the cob, banana splits, puppet shows. This is a family oriented rehabilitation. If you are in need, please consider putting your loved one here. My mom is struggling, but they help her feel better!

The only place to start is by saying I had no plans on checking into any Rehabilitation Center. Well somebody had other plans for me! I am so thankful that when given my options, I chose Scottdale Healthcare & Rehabilitation Ctr. I cannot say enough about the staff, food, amenities, therapy and my roommate! Hi Janie! I miss you!! Call me!! All are above and beyond! Heather, Heidi, Carmen, Jenn, not to mention everybody that checked on Janie and then checked on me! I know that I said this a couple of times but let me say it again, all of you ladies are extremely empathetic and kind! You are also some of the hardest working women that I have ever known!! Josh, I gave you the worst looks every time you came to fetch me for physical therapy. John, you are a big ol teddy bear! Lisa and the girls are sweetness and light! You are all very empathetic and fun!! I even rekindled my love of Bingo! Never would have thought! Bucky, you and your Mom call Bingo like nobody I have known. You both made me laugh when I didn't know that I had it in me to laugh!! The food is abundant! Sometimes perhaps too much so! I can't tell you how many times I put in a special request for soup and a sandwich or a pb&j sandwich. They even kept my Ensure drinks in stock cause the doctor said I needed them! I just want all of you that came to see me in the morning, afternoon, evening and, yes, in the middle of the night to know that I love you! Now go back to work before I cry!!

My aunt was at the facility this summer. The nurses and aides were very helpful, kind, and compassionate to her needs. Therapy did an amazing job. She was having issues with doing simple things that we take for granted everyday and truly helped her regain her independence more. It is a great place for any family member to go to. I’d recommend Scottdale Health and Rehabilitation Center to anyone who asks!!
