I visited, several times, a friend's mother who was rehabbing from a broken hip. It is very clean and all the staff are knowledable and attentive. If I were choosing a rehab for myself, this would be the one I would choose.
Best decision! Read on. So perhaps your initial perspective upon visiting the nursing home side may be off as was mine because the facility is somewhat dated; but don't let that fool you. What we found was that though the facilities may not be posh, they keep it clean, updating as the can and, most importantly is this: the staff is FIRST CLASS....especially the nurses and aides. And believe me, that's what is most important as you walk away leaving your loved one in someone else's care. You want to know you have left them in good hands, not a mansion. The Maranatha family went out of their way to make mom feel at home. I watched how they treated others as well as I visited almost every day for months. When mom was in her final days just recently, aides and nurses would come in from time to time or before leaving their shift to love on her because we all knew mom may not be there when they returned. Once you get to know the caregivers, you'll be amazed the love they show to all residents. I wish they had more money... Not to hang chandeliers, but to bless the caregivers.
Mom has been a part of the Maranatha family for almost 7 years. It has been an amazing journey. She's been through so much, it has been a huge weight lifted off my shoulders knowing she's well taken care of. I can't say enough positive things about the staff. From the housekeepers, to the aids, med techs, nurses, everyone has done an awesome job with not only her, but the residents in general. It's a real pleasure being apart of the Maranatha family. I honestly couldn't imagine her being in another facility. With that being said, thank you all for doing such a wonderful job. Need a place for a loved one who needs special care that you aren't able to provide? Look no further.
The staff was nice, there seemed to be no organization or schedule for much of anything, cleanliness was fair, and the food was HORRIBLE. I was there for 14 1/2 days, my bedding was only changed once, the room was swept a couple of times and mopped once...maybe twice, the toilet was cleaned often, and the trash was taken out daily. I needed minimal care so it was okay for me but for anyone who needs serious care I am just not sure about it. I will give a shout out to the woman who assists with showers. She worked me in which was amazing. I had been transferred from the hospital and desperately needed a shower. Overall it could've been a lot better but I am sure it is not the worst place.
Maranatha Village staff was great and our whole family appreciated how well that they treated my Dad while he was at there facility and Dianna Hardee was great about keeping use updated and great about getting us up to speed on what we need to do when it came time for my Dad to be moved to a nursing home from rehab at The Maranatha village. Our family is very grateful for all that Maranatha village has done for our family.
