Making the decision of having my mom go in a nursing home was one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through. The staff was more than welcoming when we arrived even though the nurses were busy with medication and serving dinner. The director came out and introduced herself which I thought was nice. The nurse assistants looked very busy but all seemed polite. I sat in the dinning area while they made my mom a tray. It reminded me of grade school the way they were serving trays. Not to many options to choose from. She asked for an ice cream sandwich because we always ate one after dinner while we watched wheel of fortune for years. They didn’t have that but gave her some sort of cracker instead. The director was leaving as I was and walked out with me. She thanked me for choosing them to care for my mom and asked if there was anything she could do to make it easier on me. I told her I knew this was what was best for my mom since it was getting hard on myself and husband to care for her since my dad had passed. I explained it was hard to leave her there because we had our nightly routine. This would be first time we didn’t watch wheel of fortune since she moved in with me. Later that evening I had received a video chat on my phone from that director. She was with my mom watching wheel of fortune and eating ice cream sandwiches wanting me to do the same. I needed that good cry. I will always be thankful for the care and compassion this facility gave to my mom while she was there. They treated her like their own.

Please dont send your loved ones to this nursing home. My relative who recently passed at this facility couldnt even recognize the food they were serving. The nursing home does not follow food restrictions so they will give residents with heart conditions food that is too salty. They are extremely under staffed so that means if your loved one is having a medical emergency it could 30 minutes for a nurse to get to their room after pressing the call light several times. By the time the nurse gets there it could be TOO LATE. The nearest hospital is 30 minutes away so if your loved one is having a medical emergency it can take the ambulance 30 minutes or more to get to them. They even " Forgot" to give me relative their medicine several times. This place should be shut down!
