My mom has been at Indian Creek for about 6 months now, and I have nothing but the highest praise for the staff. They are very kind and caring with my mom and me. I go in at least 2 to 3 times per week and they are always smiling and calling her by name. My mom says it feels almost like home, and that tells me everything I need to know. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is an older facility, so if you are interested in a modern, up-to-date, beautiful place for your loved one, you would probably not like it. For my mom, I care much more about how well she is treated than having the most up-to-date accommodations. She is content where she is, and as someone who had to make the difficult decision to put her in a skilled care facility, I couldn't be more grateful to the staff at Indian Creek.
If you are looking for a place to let your loved one die, this is it.
When my mom became a resident at Indian Creek our lives were in such a difficult place. ANY place that you have to trust a family member to is filled with stress and anxiety. My heart broke. The staff has been very forthcoming about anything going on with my mom and many of those anxieties were put to rest. I have seen a lot of grace and mercy there. Staff that were truly called to that work. I drop in random times and days to check on her and I feel very comfortable with the care she has been provided. My mom, having been a nurse for over 4 decades thinks she is working there and the staff allow her to do so. She is given empty chart papers so she can chart. We are also fortunate to be able to take our family dog, Murphy to visit with my mom and other residences. That is HUGE. Her animals are her babies and we are so lucky to keep their visits going. The facility is not a "country club" assisted living facility or the Ritz. It is not sterile or a quiet retreat. It is a secure place for my mom to get the proper medical care in addition to her dementia care. Indian Creek is a nursing home with a skilled nursing memory care wing. There is always hustle or bustle when I go in and residents are always walking down the hall and greeting you, some for the 5th time in an hour. The nurses are always busting their butts and those CNAs.... Thank you. Thank you for taking care of my mom. Thank you to the staff for loving my mom too.
Loved the people that lived there, but not the bosses. Sam isn't very nice. They were letting a co worker STAY in one of the empty rooms!
Would not send my dog there. Staff is rude and do not take care of the patients. While asking the nurse questions about my uncles care (NOT CARE) she hung up on me .
