Medicare Coverage: Medicare covers skilled nursing facility care for up to 100 days following a qualifying hospital stay of at least 3 days. Days 1-20 are fully covered by Medicare, days 21-100 require a daily coinsurance payment. Many residents also use Medicaid, private insurance, or pay privately for long-term stays.

Questions to Ask: When visiting a nursing home, ask about: staff-to-resident ratios and RN coverage around the clock, how they handle medical emergencies, activities and therapy programs, how they communicate with families, their approach to falls prevention, and policies for managing resident complaints.

My Father has been here since November 2023. He was in Rehab first. Then, he went to the cottages until March 2024. In March we moved Dad to Skilled Nursing Care. He has been with Liberty hospice care and Quail Haven care for about 13 months. There are so many caring and wonderful people here at Quail Haven that have taken care of him. One day I will send a note with everyone’s names… While taking care of my Father is a job, everyone we have had the opportunity to meet that has somehow helped my Father, I feel like they have been CALLED to do so. We are very pleased with the facility and the staff. Also, it is awesome that they provide options for meals,AND, offer an Ensure Supplement anytime dad has asked for one. My Father is still living and I feel confident that he has lived this Thanks to the team st Quail Haven and Liberty Hospice. Time with him has been Priceless. It is with much Love and Respect and Thanksgiving to give the Quail Haven Team and organization a 5+ Star Rating. Sincerely, Coach Holt - Larry Holt’s Son

I can not say enough good about the care my mother received!! I am a nurse of 37 years and I am hard to impress but I was so impress with all the staff at Quail Haven from the front desk staff, nurses to the housekeeping staff! Cindy Robinson (Social Worker) was so very helpful in coordination of all care needed for Mom's discharge home and all of her needs while at Quail Haven, she is absolutely wonderful! I would absolutely recommend Quail Haven to anyone that needs their services. My mother was actually sad to leave she got so attached to everyone that took care of her and appreciated the wonderful care she received!!!

My family and I have had several experiences with skilled nursing facilities in the Charlotte area and locally. It was the best decision to select The Inn at Quail Haven for my mom. She receives excellent nursing care from dedicated nurses and CNA’s! In addition, when you visit, you are greeted and feel like you’re amongst family! Thank you for providing wonderful care to my mom!
